BUILD CONNECTIONS.
STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY.

VOTE / TYLER DAVIS / MAY 11

WHY I'M RUNNING

When my family moved to Rothesay in 2022 we only knew a few people, but through hosting gatherings, playing pickleball, and taking our kids to playgrounds, the pool, trails and the KV library we quickly began to make friends and feel at home.

Over the last few years I gained a new appreciation for how important our public spaces and neighborhoods are for relationship building and forming community. It takes real effort to make connections with others, but it's also what makes life rich.

Raising a family — or building a life at any stage — shouldn't feel like something you're doing alone. That's why our public spaces, our neighborhoods, and how we care for our town should encourage all generations to be social, active, and connected.

My vision for Rothesay is to make forming connections with others easier for everyone:

🏃‍♂️‍➡️ More opportunities for recreation and gathering places that grow community

🏠 Supporting more housing choices so young people, families and seniors can call Rothesay home

🌲 Maintaining the services that make Rothesay a safe and beautiful community

I’m looking forward to earning your trust — and your vote — through hard work, listening, and respect.

ABOUT TYLER

I'm Tyler Davis and I'm running for Rothesay Town Council in municipal elections on May 11th.

I'm passionate about community and bring a professional background in real estate and post secondary administration. As a Realtor I was a top producing agent and always put an emphasis on building trust and providing excellent service for my clients.

Now, I'm a stay at home dad to our four year old son and one year old daughter - and a community volunteer. I serve on Rothesay's Works and Utilities Committee and formerly on the Planning Advisory Committee.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Birmingham-Southern College and a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).

PRIORITIES

My vision for Rothesay is a place where everyone can build connections and strengthen community. These are my priorities:

🛝 MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR RECREATION AND GATHERING PLACES THAT GROW COMMUNITY

Rothesay's 2024 Recreation Master Plan is a blueprint for expanding our trail system and enhancing our parks and playgrounds. Let's continue to make progress.

🏡 SUPPORTING HOUSING CHOICE FOR ALL GENERATIONS

Let's build homes that give young people, families and seniors more choices in housing.

🌳 MAINTAINING A SAFE AND BEAUTIFUL COMMUNITY

Rothesay is already a wonderful community. Let's continue the work that makes this place special.

SUPPORTERS

"We have known Tyler since he moved to our neighbourhood four years ago. He quickly became a trusted friend.

He’s kind and very approachable. He has integrity and always follows through with what he says he’ll do. Tyler advocated on our family’s behalf to have a speed monitor on our street and since then the traffic has slowed down significantly. He’s not afraid to speak up, and stand up for people. He sincerely cares about our neighbourhood. We are very confident that our town would be in excellent hands with Tyler on council."

CORE VALUES

✅ ACTIVE LISTENING

Respect and consider other's opinions, incorporate feedback and weigh evidence. Don't assume you know best.

✅ COLLABORATION

Work together to build consensus, solve problems and get things done. Disagree respectfully and in a way that's constructive. Be kind.

✅ DO THE HOMEWORK

Understand the fundamentals: budget and policy trade-offs, how council meetings function, read and analyze materials, ask questions and make responsible decisions.

✅ TAKE THE WORK SERIOUSLY, BUT DON'T TAKE YOURSELF TOO SERIOUSLY

This is an important job, but it's ok to have a laugh, especially at yourself. Acknowledge mistakes, practice humility.
